What is PWR Show?

What is the Pro WrestlingReport (PWR) ???  Is it a news show? Is it a variety show? Is it a #DirtSheet? What is it that Dameon Nelson and DavidHerro really do??

PWR is a group of tremendously cool and sexy people (LOL)  that have been life long wrestling fans that are just simply talking about wrestling.  Yes we have fun. Yes we joke. Yes we even have a few “opinions”. But at the end of the day we are just people that enjoy some “rasslin”.

Anyone that listens to PWRMonday Meltdown or watches PWR Prime Time expecting to see us give away the “magic” or the “behind the scenes” stuff will be disappointed. Dameon and I decided long ago that PWR would be a show that creates discussion and creativity. We do not feel it does our show or the wrestling business any good by ruining a surprise by giving away a “Shocking development”. You can read about all that stuff on other web sites.

The fact of the matter is this…. Yes, we know what might happen. Yes, we know what direction some story lines are heading in.  Yes.. Yes..Yes…  But really, what good would it do to tell you when it is going to happen as opposed to trying to explain the message as to why it did happen. Do you like to know what Santa is going to give you on Halloween or would you rather enjoy the moment and the surprise on Christmas morning. Speaking of Christmas, it is never too early to order your Officially Official PWR T-shirts.... Click here

The best times as a wrestling fan for me, was when I never knew what was going to happen. Never knowing who was going to show up “unexpectedly”. But I was always wondering “why?” and “how?”.  That is what PWR brings to the audience. Remember when Warrior ran down and saved Hogan at WrestleMania? Remember when Hogan shocked the world and joined Hall and Nash in the nWo? Saturday Night’s Main event when it was taped three weeks earlier and we never knew?? How much fun would all that have been of we knew weeks ahead of time?

Yes, I do look online and read spoilers and rumors. But I feel that sometimes the rumors ruin a good thing because it gives us “expectations”. Which for me, whenever you have expectations your are usually assured disappointment.

Remember when it leaked that Goldberg and Brock were both leaving after their WM20 match?? The crowd boo’d them out of the building before they even locked up. How about the infamous pictures of Jericho in an airport before his last re-debut… Why do we need to ruin the surprise? I get it, it makes money, it gets page views, it gets clicks, it gains followers. I am all about that. But sometimes it ruins a good thing. I prefer to talk about it and be the “Monday Morning Quarterback” as opposed to the guy that let the cat out of the bag.

Now I do not want anyone to think I am bashing the “insiders”, I am not. I am just explaining how the PWR Show works. I admire the resiliency and dedication that some of these sites have that get the breaking news. They obviously have great sources. Dameon and I prefer to have friendships.

Now don’t get me wrong, there have been plenty of times that Dameon (more than myself) has been way off with our “analysis” but that is what makes the show fun. #DifferenceOfOpinion.PWR is about discussion.

What most of you do not understand is that Dameon and I do actually have lives outside of PWR. Dameon is an executive director at Six Flags and I own and operate a CBRF. We do the PWR show because we enjoy it, not because we have to, but because we want to. This is our creative outlet. We get to be kids and fans for a couple hours a week. If you cannot see that we are having fun then you obviously will never understand.

#DidYouKnow that PWR produces up to #FIVE days of content each week. Monday Meltdown Radio, Wednesday PrimeTime TV, Thursday Sudden Impact Radio, Saturday PrimeTime TV, and a Sunday Post PPV Show Radio. Did I mention that all the content available is FREE? :)

So for the few “haters” out there that don’t appreciate our #Shenanigans that we do, I guess you would have hated Prime Time Wrestling with Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan. But for all of our fun loving and loyal #SuperFriends and Nelson Family members, thank you very much for all your support and for having our backs when the #ToolBoxes have nothing but jealousy and hate.

On behalf of everyone at the PWR Show offices, I would to wish everyone of you a safe and #tremendous Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy, create, and believe.

Enjoy these random #Shenanigan episodes or PWR Radio and TV....

#VictorGoesTheSpoils

BrookeHogan signs with TNA Impact Wrestling as a Knockouts consultant…. The IWC Explodes.

It's "to the victor go thespoils." The spoils of victory are the extra bonuses, perks, and treasure you get for winning.

"In the old days of war, the winning army pretty much got to loot the countryside and take what they wanted--wealth, harvest, women, whatever. Those would be the spoils of victory. In a relatively civilized setting, we use it more symbolically or metaphorically. The winner (victor, the victorious one, the one who gets the victory) gets whatever benefits go with the actual winning of the title, prize, award, office, or event. They could be formal or informal--that is, they could be a designated part of the prize (a gold medal, a contract with an athletic equipment manufacturer) or just tag along with it (celebrity status, free gifts, media attention, boost in their love life)."

I can understand why the wrestling fan gets upset, but c’mon people…. It’s how business works. Since the beginning of time we have always taken care of our own.  Whether it is corporate America or a Mom and Pop business family takes care of family.  That’s just the way world turns. Wrestling is no different.

GoodOl’ boy Network…. Strong loyalty to family and friends

As someone that has grown up in the family Real Estate business I understand. I was given a spot in the family business probably before I was ready but I also grew up in it and understood how the business works. I showed the doubters that I could do it and did well. Brooke Hogan will probably do the same thing.

Looks at some of the successful families….   TheTrumps, The Fords, The Waltons (Wal-Mart), The Disneys, The Gagnes (AWA), The Von Erichs (World Class), The Seligs (Brewers) , The Steinberenners (Yankees), The McMahons (WWE), and numerous other Fortune500 companies that have done extremely well and hired their children.

TNA Impact Wrestling is a family based wrestling company....  Read here

There is nothing wrong with Brooke Hogan joining TNA, I am sure it will be a great experience for her as well as a resume builder. Who knows how much she is even going to be paid and it is none of our business.Maybe she has never taken a bump in the ring that does not mean she does not understand the business. Some of wrestling's greatest minds have never taken a "bump" and have gone on to make the product better... no I am not talking about Dameon Nelson.

How many of us would take a job if offered by a relative or close friend?? Honest answers… Most of us if not all of us would…

I guess at the end of the day people just want to bash Hulk Hogan and DixieCarter, it seems like that has been the popular thing to do lately.

#SummerOfWrestling

WWE RAW goes three hours and TNA Impact Wrestling will be LIVE throughout the summer… and people say that pro wrestling isn’t a draw anymore.

Moments after Dixie Carter made the announcement that Impact would be live every week this summer, the WWE Corporate offices had all WWE talent tweet out that RAW would be going three hours permanently. Now everybody asks… Is this good for business??

First let’s start with TNA Impact.  I think this will be a huge step for them.  To go live keeps everything fresh and the talent will elevate their game. They will not be the opportunity to re-tape a blown match or segment. This is the real deal.

Guys like Hogan, Flair, Sting, The Dudleys, Anderson, Hardy, and RVD will need to show the younger talent how to do business and what it takes to have a successful LIVE show. This is where they earn those paychecks.  They understand the “Going LIVE” process. They know how to get the stuff in and how it should look.  Talent like Aries, Robbie E, Bobby Roode, Crimson, and the others that have not had the opportunity to go LIVE every week will all be forced to raise their game. My only concern with TNA going LIVE is the studio audience. If the group of people is predominately non wrestling fan tourists, that have no investment into the show could be a nightmare for the production crew.  This is a bold and expensive move by TNA but I am confident that with the people they have in place to run the show now, that they will do well and be successful.  I wish TNA Impact the best of luck and I believe the have the horses for this race.

Monday Night RAW is now going to be THREE hours…. Hmmm. Not too sure how I feel about this. I personally think three hours is too much, imagine a PPV week. That is over 10 hours of WWE programming.

I am hoping the WWE uses the extra hour to build new stars, to re-boot the tag team division, and to give the audience more than just three minute matches. I do not want to see multiple segments of Johnny Ace, CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and John Cena.  Use this time to further Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett, and the other hungry young lions. Strengthen the Divas division, build tag teams, and even bring back a Piper’s Pit type segment.

I am amazed by the amount of product that the WWE produces each week.  RAW, Smackdown, NXT, the various YouTube shows, WWE movies, and weekend magazine style shows. What a machine.  The WWE truly is an entertainment company and nobody does it better.

At the end of the day the wrestling fans win and both companies hope to have strong ratings.  But my question is….. Do people really want to stay inside during the summer months to watch TV???  The wrestling Gods seem to think so. I guess we will all find out sooner than later. Don’t forget to tune into PWR PrimeTime every week for more info and analysis regarding the #SummerOfWrestling. God Bless the DVR.
